The film is uncommonly poetic and refined. The pictures come from a book by Federica Pagnucco and Linda Wolfsgruber, realized with printed characters in wood and lead. An old printing tecnique, well blended with wood-printed shapes, which gives a special aura of magic to the book, and subsequently to its animated version, thanks to the participation of Thomas Renoldner and the evocative soundtrack by Peter Rosmanith. It is a precious film owing to the rare suspension of the atmosphere and time, actually fixed and focusing on small things, habits, interstices, in the end, worlds...
Il film è straordinariamente poetico e raffinato. Le immagini sono state realizzate per un libro di Federica Pagnucco e Linda Wolfsgruber, utilizzando caratteri in legno e piombo. Una vecchia tecnica, che assieme alla xilografia dà una speciale aura di magia al libro, e, successivamente, alla sua versione animata, grazie alla partecipazione di Thomas Renoldner e all’evocativa colonna sonora firmata da Peter Rosmanith. È un film prezioso grazie alla rara sospensione dell'atmosfera e del tempo, in realtà stabile e concentrato su piccole cose, disposizioni, interstizi e, alla fine, mondi...
Dieser Film ist ungewöhnlich poetisch und raffiniert. Die Bilder stammen aus einem Buch von Federica Pagnucco und Linda Wolfsgruber, für das Lettern aus Holz- und Blei verwendet wurden. Gemeinsam mit den Formen, die in Holzdruck-Technik entstanden sind, verleihen diese alten Techniken dem Buch eine spezielle Aura der Magie, und dank der Beteiligung von Thomas Renoldner und der Filmmusik von Peter Rosmanith auch der animierten Fassung. Es ist ein besonderer Film mit einer seltenen Spannung, Atmosphäre und Tempo, fokussiert auf die kleinen Dinge, die Welten repräsentieren.
